Jute Mat is an effective means of establishing vegetation quickly, suppressing weed growth, stabilising slopes & creek banks. It is often used for rehabilitation of environments such as creeks, wetlands and flood mitigation zones. Modified environments may include new land divisions, community bushcare & coastcare projects, mining and industrial landscape rehabilitation.

The nature of the jute fibre permits the soil to ‘breathe’ and also absorbs and holds natural rainfall. The jute fibre is needle-punched to form a thick natural felt which is very successful at suppressing weed growth. Your chosen vegetation can be planted through the felt layer, for rapid growth without weed competition.
